Neomarxism's flaws

I learned something new (to me) about cultural Marxism yesterday.  It seems that there is a definite attempt to dance around a plain statement of what it is by its' advocates.  Rather they simply push for the application of it in terms of legal policies.  But what is modern day Marxism exactly?  The problem is that when we find out, nobody will have any respect for it.

First, under critical theory, a person who has privileges in society will have unconscious biases.  This is obviously true.  We've all been wrong about things which we previously thought we were correct on.  And it's easy to see how your situation and even social privileges can cloud your perspective.  It's easy to see that you shouldn't judge another person until you've walked a mile in their shoes.  But that bat swings both ways.  Someone from a less privileged position can have an unconscious bias too.  They could think that society is against their group when it isn't.  Or even if there are obstacles, they may not be such a big deal.

But this is where the new thing I learned comes in.  Critical theorists recognize this problem.  The proverb about walking in someone else's shoes is too well known to just ignore.  Get ready for this because it's a doozy.  Critical theorists claim that social privilege is the only thing that clouds someone's judgement.

OK wow.  I have to repeat that one.  Critical theorists claim that social privilege is the only thing that clouds someone's judgement.  I think most people will instantly recognize a list of rational failures with that.

First, it's arbitrary.  It's an unjustified claim of knowledge.  You may as well claim aliens built the pyramids or that Bigfoot lives under your house.  Or someone could counter claim that the lack of privilege is the only thing that clouds judgement.  That counter claim is on the same ground as the critical theory.  They cancel each other out because they both have the same level of proof, NONE.

It suddenly becomes obvious why critical theorists advocate all their weird policies.  They create a sort of spectrum of how much privilege a person has.  To them, a Black Trans Female has the lowest level of privilege.  Therefore this person is actually the most rational person in the world!  (how could you ever really know a thing like that?) To them, people in positions of power should all be fired and replaced by those with less privilege.  Under critical theory, this makes perfect sense.  You don't want the people in charge who have the highest level of irrationality, White Cisgender Males!

Furthermore, those with the highest and the lowest privilege could actually have many biases in common.  It's all too common for people alive today to horribly misunderstand people in history.  We tend to be biased by our current era in time and irrationally biased against our predecessors.  For example, we fail to understand the farming based metaphors Jesus uses in the Bible.  Today less than 2% of people work in agriculture.  Back then over 50% did.  Some pastors, rich and poor, draw flawed doctrines based on this.  We also fail to realize that we are the ignorant primitives in relation to the people who'll live 1000 years after us.  We tend to think that those people back then are always wrong and we are always "more evolved."

Critical theorists always claim to be "starting a dialogue."  It's very confusing because they are constantly making their voices heard.  But what they always mean is privileged people must be quiet and listen to the less privileged.  How is this a dialogue?  Here's how.  For them, the social systems in our society are designed by the super wealthy to keep the unconscious biases alive.  Since this culture is all around us, we have to silence those with privilege as much as possible.  That way the underprivileged can communicate with the brainwashing scam that is our culture.  It's a bit like having a conversation with your imaginary friend.

In the end, the flaw of Neo Marxism is this unjustified conspiracy theory that all social systems are designed to oppress.  But this added claim of critical theory is just too silly.  The old saying is that even a broken clock is correct twice a day.  Neo Marxists do their best to milk any point they get correct.  If there is ever an unconscious bias among the privileged, they will loudly shout it from the rooftops.  For them, it proves their whole crazy worldview.  But they always ignore the counter evidence.  In reality, anyone can be biased.  I'll say it again.  Anyone can be biased.
